commongredients

Our group has decided to take a further look into the common ingredients shared within different condiments, entrees and desserts from the Maybank Public House and the Coleman Public House, located in South Carolina. The graphs displayed shows us which ingredients were used in more than one dish. We wanted to take a look at the use of each ingredient to analyze how different flavors are paired to make different taste experiences as well as to show similar allergens. In the second graph, we are using the Yifan Hu layout to depict the division of ingredients between entrees, desserts, and condiments. You are able to see that some entrees share nutmeg, eggs, and beans. The condiments, which are depicted on the bottom portion of the graph, show that they share similar ingredients with entrees such as mint, chili flakes, and garlic cloves. Some ingredients which are shared between the three are the following: butter, ginger, heavy cream, lemongrass, oregano, and cream cheese. Though the other graphs aren't labeled, they show the intense interwoven ingredients which make up all sorts of taste experiences. As far as website design, we tried to coordinate the colors of the restaurant and their website, to reflect the same ambience.
